Color Theory Project: Undergraduate Capstone

My senior capstone project from my undergraduate program at West Liberty University is a captivating exploration of color theory through a collection of six photographs, and an accompanying artist process book. Each photograph in the collection masterfully employs color as a central element, showcasing a deep understanding of color theory principles and their emotional impact. The photographs were taken using off-camera lighting and colored gels to represent color theory to the viewers. There is a very minimal amount of post-production in these photographs; the color is all coming from the lighting. The artist process book provides a detailed account of my creative process, delving into the conceptualization, experimentation, and decision-making process behind each photograph, offering viewers a glimpse into my thought process and evolution throughout the duration of the project. Together, the photographs and artist process book form a cohesive body of work that celebrates the power and expressive potential of color in visual storytelling.
